Telescopic Boom: Fixed and Swing Cab

The Mobile Crane Operator Prep course covers the core examinations and both the fixed and swing cab specialty examinations.

Day one we cover the core exam material to include the following elements:
• Regulations and Definitions
• Characteristics and Limitations
• Site, Assembly & Disassembly
• Power Line Safety
• Inspections
• Safety Devices, Aids, and Operations
• Responsibilities
• Signals, Personnel Platforms

Day two we cover all load chart calculations and diligently work problems with students to make sure they have an understanding of the math that will take place on the examinations.

Day three we have a review in the morning, this is most students favorite part of AICB’s course, as it refreshes their minds on the material covered in the two days prior.  The review portion is followed by a Chief Examiner coming to AICB’s facility to administer all written testing.  Practicals are to be scheduled with AICB office personnel.  We have time available in the days directly following the three day prep course.
